I am a member of the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers: the Loyal Company of Town Criers: Guild of Registered Tourist Guides: Institute of Registered Tourist Guiding: Heart of England Tourist Guides Association: Society of Authors.
Being a retired police inspector who has lived most of my life in the Midlands, it is an area I know well. Until 31 December 2014 I was Warwick`s Town Crier so I do not have a problem being heard.
In addition to being a tourist guide, I am much in demand as a speaker on numerous topics. (A full list may be found elsewhere on this site). Should you want an entertaining talk at your hotel, try giving me a call. During the darker nights, I tell ghost, crime and other tales with a twist.
Writing is another of my interests, both fiction and non-fiction, several of which complement my talks.
Being passionately fond of the Heart of England Region, I enjoy sharing my knowledge of this area and its many colourful, and sometimes infamous characters.
All tours are tailored to your specific requirements, and wherever possible, I link them in with battlefields, crime and murder mysteries, folklore and traditions, military history and other information with local connections.

Member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding
After a career in teaching, a love of my native country prompted me to become a tourist guide. Even after twenty years, I hope I have not lost my pride and enthusiasm, in showing you around the best parts of what the Heart of England has to offer.
From U3A to Primary School children, I can pitch my tours to interest people from a wide background. I also enjoy preparing and learning new routes, which are specially tailored for your groups.
Having a French mother, I can guide confidently in French.
I specialise in tours of historical England, with Warwickshire and Oxfordshire being my favourite haunts.
